Jesse Don Rhodes, 38-year-old Tulsa resident, passed away late Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jesse was born on January 23, 1983, in Miami, to Tommy Eugene Rhodes and Theresa Louise (Nolen) (Rhodes) Wadley.

He graduated from Vinita High School in 2001, then attended trade school in Tempe, Arizona to learn how to install car audio systems. Jesse worked in Columbus, Ohio for 15 years at Columbus Car Audio. He moved to Tulsa in 2016, and began working at Boomer’s Audio, where he was the shop manager. On October 26, 2019, he married the love of his life Jennifer Dayle Cotton, in Vinita. Jesse was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita. He loved to work with his hands, working on cars, cycling, snow skiing, traveling, scuba diving, boating, and hiking. Jesse especially loved spending time with his family and his dog, Matilda. Jesse was so proud to become a daddy to his precious little girl Ellie. He loved to help people and always put others first.

The family includes his wife Jennifer of the home, his baby girl, Eloise Tess Rhodes of the home, parents, Theresa and Don Wadley of Vinita, Tommy and Lee Ann Rhodes of Afton, sisters, Melissa Morris of Barcelona, Spain, Angela Rhodes of Broken Arrow, stepsister, Angee Mackey, stepbrothers, Jeff, Rob, Luke and Scott Wadley, sister in-law, Tori Fernandez, stepmother Glenda Gregory of Afton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and beloved older brother, Kevin Rhodes on April 5, 1998.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita.  The celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita, with Mr. Don Wadley officiating. Interment will be held later at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, west of Bluejacket, Oklahoma.
